What Information We Collect
We only collect information necessary to deliver and improve our night photography curation services, including:
Content you create: All night photography you store in your personal Dreix album, custom time tags (early night, late night, pre-dawn) you add to your shots, aspect ratio preferences (3:4 / 4:3), shooting streak records, and any notes you attach to your photos.
Account information (optional): Your chosen display name, email address, and profile details if you choose to register for an account. You may also use Dreix in fully offline mode without creating an account, in which case no account information is transmitted to our servers.
Preference data: Your local reminder settings for nightly shooting prompts, content filter preferences (time period, photo style), dark mode display settings, and browsing history on the Night Wall and Browse tabs.
Optional location data: If you grant location permission, we may collect geotag metadata attached to your photos to help you organize your shots by location. You can turn this off at any time in your device settings.
Community content: Any photos, captions, or tags you choose to share publicly on the Night Wall community section are visible to other Dreix users.
How We Use Your Information
We only use your information for core service purposes aligned with Dreix's functionality:
Storing and organizing your personal night photography collection, sorting your shots by time tags and aspect ratio as you prefer
Running your custom local shooting reminders (note: reminder settings are stored locally on your device by default, and will only be synced to our servers if you enable cloud backup)
Tracking your shooting streak to help you build a consistent night photography habit and celebrate your progress
Displaying your photos in our optimized dark theme UI and 3:4 vertical waterfall flow to highlight every detail of your shots
Curating personalized Night Wall and Browse tab recommendations matching your preferred night vibe
Triggering no-flash reminders before you shoot to help you preserve the soft natural atmosphere of night scenes
Fixing technical bugs and optimizing app performance to give you a smoother experience
Sending you important service updates, such as changes to this privacy policy or new feature announcements (you can opt out of non-essential notifications at any time)
How We Share Your Information
We will never sell, rent, or lease your personal data or private night photography to any third party for commercial purposes. We only share your information in the following limited circumstances:
Public community content: Any content you choose to share publicly on the Night Wall can be viewed, liked, and saved by other Dreix users. You can delete your public posts at any time to remove them from the community.
Trusted service providers: We share necessary data with third-party service partners who help us run Dreix, such as cloud storage providers for your backup data. All partners are bound by strict confidentiality agreements and are not allowed to use your data for any other purposes.
Legal requirements: We may disclose your information if we are required to do so by a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of Dreix, our users, or the general public.
Your Rights Over Your Data
You have full control over your data when using Dreix, including the right to:
Access, view, and export all of your personal night photography and associated data stored on our servers at any time
Edit or delete any of your photos, tags, shooting streak records, and account information
Turn off location permissions, disable local shooting reminders, or opt out of personalized content recommendations
Delete all of your data from our systems permanently by submitting a deletion request
Request answers to any questions you have about our privacy practices via our contact email
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including end-to-end encryption for photo uploads and downloads, encrypted cloud storage for your personal albums, and regular security audits. While we take all reasonable steps to protect your information, no digital storage system is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security of your data.
Children's Privacy
Dreix is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a user under 13, we will immediately delete all associated information from our systems.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or privacy practices. We will notify all users of any changes via in-app announcement at least 30 days before the new policy takes effect.
